Reporting Issues

1. Select the project from the ‘projects’ page.

2. Click on the “New Issue” tab.

3. First select the tracker; this is the type of issue you are going to be reporting. For example, “Design new Program”.

4. Type in the “Subject”, which is the title of the issue, and also give a description so other users and watchers, can get an idea of what the issue is about.

5. Set the Status. (New, In Progress).

6. Indicate the “start date”, “due date” and estimated time for completion.

7. Next, select an appropriate priority, the default value is normal.

8. Optionally, you can select the person that the issue should be assigned to or leave it blank to later be selected when the issue is edited and updated.

9. When using these trackers: Software Change Request, Network Maintenance, Design New Program, Program Modification, Database Issue, Network Issue, WebServer Issue, Hardware Faults, Technical Problem, and other, you will be presented with some extra required fields. The text above the field gives a brief explanation of the information that should be entered.
